We may have been a bit quiet lately, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy!
With preparation for the new season in full swing we caught up with Sterling to find out what he’s been up to…
“Last season was an up and down one, with high and low moments. There are things that happened last season that we’re trying hard to eliminate in our process of rebuilding our team for this season.
Speaking to the guys at the end of last season they seemed to think that changing personnel was a contributing factor in our dips throughout the season, and this year we’re trying to ensure that the makeup of our team remains constant to keep our chemistry high all season.
The awareness of the game improved so much last season in terms of support, buzz, and the facilities. With the first season at the Emirates Arena under our belts we’re working hard to ensure that things continue to move in the right direction, both on and off the court.
It’s good to see that the Trophy Final is back in Glasgow again, and just like every year and in every competition we’ll look to be in that final. The atmosphere and presentation of last year’s final is definitely motivation for us to want to be a part of it on our home court.
I’m excited to continue on with the organization – it’s one of the best in the league without a doubt – and that is shown through not only the leadership, but also the fan base.
I know you all want to know about player signings… all I can tell you at this stage is that we have a couple of promising prospects that we are in the advanced stages of speaking to, and hopefully we’ll be able to announce at least one signing within the next couple of weeks.
I have high hopes for a very promising season, and our intentions are to put out a very competitive group of guys to represent the Rocks organization.”
