Vince Macaulay and his London Lions hope to get the upper hand over Glasgow Rocks in the race for a top four spot when the teams meet at the Copper Box Arena on Friday.

Lions go into the game having halted a three-game skid with an impressive win over Esh Group Eagles Newcastle last weekend.

Macaulay said: “It was great to get back to winning ways and defend our home court, beating a fellow top four contender was crucial as we’re determined to get into the mix at the top of the table. I was delighted by our defensive execution.”

The Lions have been particularly tough to beat at home this season, a strength Macaulay is keen to build on, starting on Friday.

“We have only lost one game at home which was the overtime loss against Worcester, which we gave away really, defending at home is crucial if we’re to have any chance of finishing in the top four,” Macaulay added.

“The venue is tremendous and with the amount of fans we are getting in, it really lifts the team

“Glasgow will be very tough and perimeter orientated, this game decides the head-to-head and is vital to both organisations, we must guard against Gareth Murray and Sterling Davis who are crucial contributors in any Rocks win.”
