One Health Sharks Sheffield kept their title bid firmly on track by completing a weekend win double in the BBL Championship after a recording a 75-61 road victory at Glasgow Rocks.

Following on from their home win against Cheshire Phoenix, the Sharks stormed to another success off the back of a superb 18-5 run either side of half-time.

They were also led by a fine effort from veteran Mike Tuck who finished with a classy 13 points, 11 boards and three steals.

Already holding a double-digit lead at 32-22 thanks to the stellar work of Tuck and frontcourt partner Patrick Horstmann, Sharks put their foot on the accelerator before and after the interval, with Rocks unable to recover.

Once Demetrius Jemison scored to make it 50-27 midway through the third quarter, a Rocks’ revival looked unlikely and especially when Olu Babalola joined the party with a late scoring surge, including successive triples to make it 69-47.

The Rocks tried launching a late salvage mission, but even a 9-0 run and holding Sharks scoreless for almost four minutes proved too little, too late, as time expired for the hosts.

Sharks’ win meant that Atiba Lyons and his team avenged a home defeat by the Rocks earlier in the season, whilst Glasgow remain a couple of victories away from a precious play-off spot.
