GLASGOW ROCKS PROFESSIONAL TRIAL THIS SATURDAY
The Glasgow Rocks will once again be holding their annual Glasgow Rocks Professional Open try-outs. The date has been confirmed for the Saturday, 31st July, and will take place at the Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena from 10am until 12pm.
The Rocks will once again be on the lookout for young and upcoming talent, and will hope to find some at these trials to fill important roster positions for the impending season. The session is open to any serious basketball players over the age of 18 who are willing and able to commit to practice and compete with the Rocks on a regular basis.
In the past, the Open Try-outs have unearthed some amazing talent and hopefully this year is no different. We ask all players who are interested in the tryout to email the following details to info@glasgowrocks.co.uk to confirm their participation.

Kelvin Hall to host Trials for the Rocks Player Development Program.
After a very successful initial season, the Rocks Player Development Program will once agin go ahead for the 2010/11 BBL season. Last season this program introduced players into a Semi-Professional role within the Rocks Franchise.
The Rocks will be hoping to do much the same this season and expand on the success of the program. They will be looking to collate a group of young and enthusiastic basketball players to assist in promoting basketball around Scotland with affiliate charity corporation Scottish Sports Futures, whilst also giving players the opportunity to gain invaluable basketball knowledge attending selected training sessions with the Professional Rocks team and being mentored by a Professional Rocks Player.
We encourage anyone interested in the Player Development Program to attend this camp and be part of a great initiative that has been set-up by the Glasgow Rocks and Scottish Sports Futures.
The Player Development Program Trials will be held in Kelvin Hall on Saturday, 7th August from 10am-12pm.

Rocks Summer Camp Reminder... 5th August, 2010...
A reminder to all junior Rocks Fan's that the Rocks Annual Summer Basketball Camp will be held on Thursday 5th August and anyone aged between 7 and 16 are invited to join Rocks coaches and players for a fun filled day of coaching and games.
