TEAM UPDATE
First announcements expected in June
We know you’re all hungry to hear how the Rocks squad will look next season, but you’re just going to have to be patient. Sterling has another year left on his contract and will definitely be here, but there are details to be worked out with all of the other players. We’re again in a situation where we want to bring most of the guys back, and that seems to be what they want too. We’re off to a good start.
You may have read that talks are going well with Rob and we’ve had initial conversations with everyone else. However, we won’t finalise things with most players until we finalise things with the arena and a few sponsors. It all takes time, but the plan is to end up with a very familiar squad with a few quality additions.
Our aim remains to bring some silverware north of the border in 2009, and the only way to do that is to improve. We have high but very achievable goals. Hopefully the next Rocks Report will tell you that we’re a few steps closer.
SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP
Scott & JJ to run the show
As you know, we always run a summer basketball camp for boys and girls of all ages. Well, this year Scott Russell and Julius Joseph have offered to put on the best Rocks camp ever! We’re looking at dates in August at the end of the school holiday and we’re considering both one-day and multi-day options for those who want to take it a bit more seriously (or for parents who need a rest). More details to be announced soon.
That's all for now. Keep Rockin'!
