Parillon will be familiar to Rocks fans following his brief stint with Steve Swanson’s Rocks side in 2004. Rocks Player/Coach Sterling Davis is confident he has made a solid signing in Parillon:
“We are excited to bring in some experience from the league in Steve. He has played in this country on multiple occasions so he knows what to expect and what it takes night in, night out to get it done.”
Parillon is a big hustle player with a strong reputation for his excellent scoring ability. Davis believes Parillon’s presence and experience will be influential on a squad with some young new recruits.
“With the young and unfamiliar faces we are bringing in this season, we can definitely use a guy like Steve to give these guys some awareness of what to expect moving forward.”
The first chance to see Parillon and his new team mates on court will be on Monday 21st September at the official pre-season launch of the Glasgow Rocks (7.00pm, Kelvin Hall). The Rocks tip-off the new season later that week on Sunday 27th September with the visit of BBL rivals Newcastle Eagles.
