It was a game for the ages as the Rocks and Eagles battled for six periods of edge-of-your-seat action at Braehead Arena Wednesday night. In the end, Richard Midgely scored the final 7 points of the game to give Newcastle the 117-110 win.
Sterling Davis and his troops were a bit down after the loss that was so nearly a thrilling win, but they gave the Braehead faithful a night to remember.
Ironically, while much of Britain's basketball community was focused on the NBA's Timberwolves-Celtics game at O2 Arena, the Rocks and Eagle delivered the far better action.
