The Glasgow Rocks continued to rack up the W's tonight with a convincing 88-54 victory over BBL newcomers, the Essex Pirates. This was the first time the two sides had met and the Rocks put on a show in front of their home crowd at Kelvin Hall.
Despite the game being tied 22-22 at the end of the opening quarter, the Rocks dominated throughout and were 14 points up at half time. The second half saw them surge ahead with Captain, Rob Yanders leading his team-mates and the game in scoring on 19 points. Mike Copeland followed closely behind on 18.
The Rocks continue their home run next Sunday 13th December with the visit of Worthing Thunder to Kelvin Hall. (Tip-off 5pm)
