Rocks Through to 2nd Round of Trophy with 9 point Win over Sharks

The Glasgow Rocks have tonight secured their place in the second round of the BBL Trophy competition with a thrilling 69 - 60 win over current league leaders, Sheffield Sharks. The Rocks trailed most of the game until the fourth quarter when they took the lead through a Yanders free throw.
The Rocks maintained their lead until the end, closing the game eventual 69 - 60 winners. The Rocks will face the winner of London Capital vs. Everton Tigers in the next round of the competition which was postponed due to weather. Date to be confirmed.
The Rocks are at home again this Friday 15th January for a re-arranged league fixture against Guildford Heat. The game was originally scheduled to be played in November but was postponed when a number of the Rocks team came down with swine flu. Tip off is at 7.30pm at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall.
