Rocks Aim to Remain Undefeated in January

Rocks brimming with confidence after recent good form.
The Rocks are full of confidence going into this weekend's game against the new and improved Worcester Wolves, after their double away win last week.
The Rocks put on a show last week as they beat the Leicester Riders and Plymouth Raiders on the road, making it 5 from 5 for 2010, and taking over the 3rd spot on the ladder.
After a blistering First Quarter the Rocks trounced the Riders 87 - 66 in front of a stunned Riders home crowd. It was a genuine team effort with Sapp leading the way scoring 24 points and Yanders just behind him scoring 23. The Rocks backed that win with a draining performance against the Plymouth Raiders. After a tight first 3 quarters the Rocks broke the game open in the fourth where they amassed a 15 point lead, only for the Raiders to peg it back to an 8 point deficit at full time, 83 - 75.
This week the Rocks will face the new look Worcester Wolves. The Wolves have had a resurgence of late, and have given teams a lot of trouble. Most recently, they took the Worthing Thunder to overtime, where they eventually lost by a single point. The Rocks are very wary of what the Wolves can do and at training Coach Davis has been looking at ways to dismantle the full-rounded game that the Wolves bring.
It should be a very interesting weekend of fixtures, with the Rocks hoping to extend their winning streak in 2010.
