Rocks Suffer Disappointing Home Defeat to Sheffield
[
return]
The Glasgow Rocks have lost their second game in 4 days with a 93 - 100 loss at the hands of current league leaders, the Sheffield Sharks. The Rocks, coming off the back of their Trophy quarter final defeat on Thursday, failed to bounce back in league action tonight.
The Sharks came out the stronger side and the Rocks defense couldn't quash their opponent’s superior shooting power. The Rocks fought back in the fourth to bring the deficit back from 20 points to 7. It was too little too late for the home side as the sharks inside presence, led by Tafari Toney, was too much for the Rocks to handle.
Rocks captain, Rob Yanders, led the scoring for the home side with 22 points personal.
The Rocks return to home action next Sunday 21st Feb with the visit of the Essex Pirates to Kelvin Hall (Tip-off 5pm).
