Rocks Move into Third after Double Winning Weekend

A 95-77 victory tonight over the Essex Pirates saw the Glasgow Rocks conclude the weekend with two wins out of two. The winning double takes the Rocks into third place in the BBL Championship table.
Following last nights nail biting 70-75 win away to Cheshire Jets, the Rocks welcomed the visit of BBL newcomers the Essex Pirates tonight at Kelvin Hall. The Rocks ended the first quarter ten points the better and continued to dominate proceedings. Rocks captain Rob Yanders led the scoring once again on 25 points, following his stunning 37 points personal in Saturday evening's game vs. Cheshire Jets.
The Rocks now look ahead to another testing weekend in which they travel to Everton on Friday to face playoff contenders the Tigers and return home on Sunday to face Milton Keynes Lions, who are currently biting at their heels in fourth place. Tip off on Friday at the Liverpool Echo Arena is 7.30pm, and Sunday's game vs. MK Lions is a 5pm tip-off at kelvin Hall.
