Rocks Tame Lions with Stunning 108-78 Home Victory
[
return]
The Glasgow Rocks continued their winning form tonight at Kelvin Hall with an awesome 108-78 victory over Milton Keynes Lions. The Rocks were without influential captain Rob Yanders who sustained a strain to his pectoral muscle during Friday night’s away victory over Everton Tigers (71-90).
Yanders' team mates stepped up in his absence and were firing from the outset. It was a fantastic all round display from the Rocks with notable contributions from Copeland, who achieved a double double (15 points and 13 rebounds) and Sapp, who achieved the elusive triple double ( 23 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists)the first of his professional career. Parillon also shone for the Rocks leading his teammates in scoring with 26 points, whilst the Lions' Yorick Williams led the game with 33.
The Rocks will look to stretch their winning run to 5 next Sunday 7th March with the visit of London Capital (tip-off 5pm).
