Rocks 106 -82 Win over Raiders Marks Return of Yanders

The Glasgow Rocks secured a much needed home win tonight at kelvin Hall, beating the Plymouth Raiders 106 - 82. The game also marked the return of influential captian Rob Yanders who has been sidelined for the past 4 weeks through injury.
Yanders influence was visible in his teammates' performances which were strengthened by the return of his direction and leadership on the floor. Mike Copeland and Gareth Murray put in superb performances leading the scoring jointly on 27 points. Rocks player/coach Sterling Davis led by example taking 23 points personal.
The win strengthens the Rocks chances of securing the third place playoff position they currently share with the Leicester Riders. With only two more regular season home games to play the Rocks double header away next weekend at London and Guildford will be crucial. The Rocks return to home action on Sunday 11th April (tip-off 5pm) for what could be the most decisive game of their season versus Leicester Riders.
