Glasgow Rocks needed a strong fourth quarter to finally see off London Capital on the road and strengthen their grip on third place with an 81-106 victory.
Jessie Sapp led all scorers with 26 points for Rocks, but it was two threes by Rob Yanders midway through the final stanza that broke Capital’s resistance. Yanders ended the night with 24 points while London’s Tomas Janusauskas again led his team with 25 points.
Capital enjoyed the better of the first quarter holding a 22-14 lead before Rocks cut the gap to 29-26. London were still in front at 40-39 until Glasgow ended the first half with a 14-7 run to lead 46-54.
And Rocks edged another point away during a tight third period, which saw them enter the fourth quarter 70-79 on top.
