The Rocks quarter-final opponent in the straight knock-out competition are Sheffield Sharks on Friday night 23rd November at the EIS in Sheffield. The Rocks will be looking for a result in Sheffield as the Braehead side have been BBL Cup finalists in three of the last four years.
Maurice “Squeaky” Hampton led the way for the Rocks with 17 points while player/coach Sterling Davis added 16, Moritz Wohlers 11 and Julius Joseph 10.
The game finished with four Scots on the floor for the Rocks and all tallied points in the win. Arbroath’s Gareth Murray had 3 points, Glasgow’s Scott Russell 5, Falkirk’s Dan Donnelly 2 and another deuce from Edinburgh’s Andrew Sanders.
The Rocks return to League (BBL Championship) action next weekend with away games at both Leicester and Birmingham. Next home game for the Rocks is Sunday 18th November when Sheffield Sharks come to town.
