Danish national captain Bilal Clarance led the Braehead side with 19 points while player/coach Sterling Davis added 16. Arbroath’s Gareth Murray and co-captain Julius Joseph chipped in 15 each. The win puts the Rocks in the thick of the BBL Championship table with 12 points; only Newcastle and Guildford have more.
Davis was pleased with the performance:
“Our team played extremely well tonight and showed a maturity level that we were lacking earlier in the season. We have really been focusing on our starts and finishes to each quarter and for the most part we did a good job of that," he said.
On the flow of tonight's game Davis added, "Everton finished the first half very strong and cut a fairly comfortable lead that we had down to just 4. We were able to bounce back from that and finish strong. The guys deserve all the credit tonight!"
The Rocks will look to continue their win streak on Sunday as they return home to face Sheffield Sharks at Braehead Arena (5:00pm start). Sheffield topped the Rocks in the season opener at Sheffield, so the Saltired side will be looking for revenge and a chance to leapfrog the Sharks in the BBL table.
