| Glasgow Rocks | 86 |
| Guildford Heat | 75 |
The win seemed unlikely when the home side trailed by 4 points with just 12 seconds remaining. However, a three-pointer by Arbroath’s Gareth Murray, two free-throws from Rob Yanders, and a massive blocked shot by player/coach Sterling Davis in the dying seconds brought home the victory and 2 critical points in the table. Davis’ big block sent the ball flying into the raucous crowd.
Co-captain Yanders led the Rocks with 20 points while Davis added 15 and Maurice “Squeaky” Hampton 12. Moritz Wohlers also reached double figures with 11.
The Rocks next travel to Cheshire Jets on Sunday with a chance to move into 3rd place. A victory would put them just two points from the League lead. Next home game for the Rocks is Sunday 10 February when Sheffield Sharks come to Braehead.
