Career:
In his inaugural year in the BBL (2007/08) was named MVP (Most Valuable Primate), the first Gorilla to ever achieve this status… Was delivering singing telegrams throughout the north Pole, before signing with the Rocks in June 2007.… Currently Spokesape for the SHC (Scottish Hair Club)… Has made countless appearances to raise money for charity, and is hoping to expand his fan base…. He is confident that one day he will make it bigger then King Kong.
Personal:
* Youngest of three chimps… Oldest Brother, Sammy V (A.K.A Vanilla Gorilla), was well known in the music industry throughout the 90’s with hits like Vanilla Go Go Gorilla, Beat My Chest Baby One More Time, and the classic Baby Got Silverback.
* Father starred alongside Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes.
* Spends free time watching the Discovery Channel.
* Favourite singer/band - Sammy Davis Jnr, Bananarama, The Monkees.
* Only mascot to have beat his chest at big man Tafari Toni and survived to tell the tale.
* Seen talking to Disney people about possibly starring in ‘The Gorilla King’.
* Currently single but is considering Animal Husbandry if the right pri–mate comes along.

When asked what his favourite part of the job was, Sammy G replied ‘I love the kids, they’re the best fans in the UK. They are always cheering and jumping around, just like me. I also get to watch the Rocks play every home game, what more could a Gorilla want’
