Ndongala, who is of British/Congolese origin, joins the team off the back of playing for the Troon Tornadoes (Div. 1 Senior Men Scottish National League) and University of Glasgow. He averaged 22.3 Points, 6.1 Assists and 3.6 Rebounds per game for the Tornadoes.
Head Coach Sterling Davis is hopeful that this signing can help with the recent run of player injuries the team has faced.
“Yves is a hard worker, he is both motivated and driven to play at this level. I have been in contact with him for a long time, and his persistence is what attracted me to him. He has worked hard at practice every day and I am excited to have him.”
Ndongala had the following to say about his upcoming début;
“I’ve been training with the team for three weeks now, pushing myself as much as I can. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the team, working with the boys, driving to pick up those final wins as the season draws to a close. I think I can really offer something special on defence, and hopefully this translates into the games.”
