Rocks go down in first leg of Playoff matchup with Royals

It was not the result Rocks were looking for in the first leg of their playoff matchup with London City Royals as they took the 75-60 loss on the road.

Despite taking an early 6-11 lead Rocks could not hold the lead in the first as Rocks made a late surge in the quarter to take the quarter 17-14.

Rocks struggled to put the ball in the basket in the second and as a result Royals were able to take a 32-23 lead into the second half.

Rocks came out all guns blazing in the third quarter and outscored the home team 20-25 to trim the lead to 4 points at 52-48 going into the final quarter.

5 straight points from big man Ali Fraser allowed Rocks to take the lead early in the fourth. However Rocks then allowed Royals to score 15 unanswered points, giving them a deficit that would be impossible to overcome.

When it was all said and done Rocks would come away with the 75-60 loss in London. Rocks now have a 15-point deficit to overcome when Royals return to the Emirates on Sunday.
