Rocks go to 10 in a row at home with win over Phoenix

Glasgow Rocks made it 10 straight home wins on Sunday night when they defeated the traveling Cheshire Phoenix 86-76.

Cheshire Phoenix jumped out to an early 0-8 run forcing Rocks into an early timeout. From there they went on a 19-7 run to finish the quarter.

It was another strong quarter in the second as Rocks finished the half up 39-30. Kieron Achara would score 8 straight points for the Rocks to keep them ahead at halftime.

However, in the third Phoenix outscored the Rocks 23-13 to take the 52-53 lead going into the fourth.

Rocks came out raring to go in the fourth though and outscored Phoenix 34-23 to take the 86-76 win at home, securing their 10th straight win at home.

Kieron Achara led the way for the Rocks with 20 points with Ali Fraser adding 17 points and Bo Zeigler also dropping in 14 points.

Rocks are back on the road next weekend when they travel to face London City Royals followed by Surrey Scorchers. Their next home game will be against Plymouth Raiders on the 28th of April.
